You could/should call Budget to see if someone named Jack rented a car around that time. Seriously this guy seems so dishonest, it can only be his real name :P

I wish I could hit Jack with my car, whip out my phone, proceed to pretend to call an ambulance, and watch as Jack dies a slow, horrible, and painful death.. he deserves nothing less
It is comforting to know that so many people carry such heart-felt concern about a fucking dent in a piece of metal.
that fucking dent in a piece of metal is like having a stranger come up to you and just stealing $1000 or more (depends on what you drive and severity of hit, obviously) straight from your pocket due to his/her own incompetence and having total disregard for it.
Johnny, lighten up, you got more than you were born with, and thank God Allah gives us more than we "deserve".
That said, there is probably enough handwriting evidence and GPS record of the Budget hire car to prosecute "Jack", who also left prints I expect, and with his attitude is less likely to be without a criminal record...
